Fenaco - Improving Swiss agricultural production through digitisation

Weed control in the fields using smart technology. This is the goal of an Innosuisse project, led by five partners. The objective is to eliminate the dock, an invasive plant, which is difficult to eradicate under normal circumstances.

Planted - Plant-based meat with further improved taste and texture

Planted has been producing plant-based meat derived from pea protein since 2019. The Zurich-based company’s products are sold throughout Switzerland. To convince even more meat eaters to take the plunge into a “meat-free world”, Planted has teamed up with ZHAW to develop more appetising products.

Avrion Therapeutics - Gene therapy to treat amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

Using gene therapy to address amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Promising research is currently underway using a combination of technologies, including genome engineering and artificial intelligence, beginning with a model organism, the fruit fly Drosophila. The work could lead to the development of novel treatments for this incurable disease.

Swiss running shoe brand On, together with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, has developed a type of carbon spring for running shoes that can be produced sustainably and cost-effectively. Waste from the aviation industry is used as the starting material.

Libattion - Upcycling of lithium batteries for resource-saving e-mobility

A young company from Zurich is integrating recyclable battery technology into electromobility and in doing so, promoting a more sustainable use of batteries. With the support of Innosuisse, they are working together with research institutes to develop state-of-the-art solutions.

Disigel - Long-term protection guaranteed thanks to a new disinfectant

Disigel is an innovation project, supported by Innosuisse, whose aim is to develop a hand disinfectant that lasts for several hours.

Quantum Integrity SA - Detecting faked photos and videos

The Swiss start-up Quantum Integrity SA helps to detect fake photos and videos quickly and easily with its software. Their further development with a research partner is being supported by Innosuisse in an innovation project.

ClearSpace - EPFL start-up seeks to clean up space

ClearSpace tackles failed satellites and the proliferation of debris in space. With the help of Innosuisse, this start-up from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne is developing technology based on artificial intelligence that is capable of approaching and capturing such debris.
