Is your company developing key digital technology or is your research institution engaged in research and development for new applications in this European key area? The European Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking (KDT JU) will connect your work with European partners to accelerate the production of high-quality microelectronics and to speed up the transition to green and digital Europe. The initiative focuses on large collaborative consortia contributing substantially to the design and production capabilities in Europe for strategic application areas.
There will no longer be any calls for projects for the Key Digital Technologies Joint Undertaking (KDT) programme with financial support from Innosuisse.
The successor programme to KDT is Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU). It will be managed by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). For funding enquires please contact Euresearch.
As Innosuisse is still managing the ongoing projects from the KDT project calls for 2021, 2022 and 2023, you can contact us via this e-mail address if you have any questions: eu-partnership@innosuisse.ch.
Due to ongoing negotiations with the European Commission for the association of Switzerland to Horizon Europe, Switzerland is at present not a full member of the KDT JU. As a transitional measure, Innosuisse and SERI will fund Swiss partners of approved KDT projects directly.
This programme is aimed at:
- SMEs, large companies and research institutions.
The KDT JU is a joint programme of European countries and the European Union. The evaluation of the applications is carried out centrally in Brussels by the KDT JU for all participating countries. Innosuisse and SERI are responsible for issuing the contracts, paying the funding contribution and for the financial reporting in Switzerland.
