Innosuisse promotes international innovation projects in the open-topic initiatives EUREKA and Eurostars, in thematic initiatives of the EU partnerships as well as bilateral cooperations between companies and research institutions from strategic partner countries. Innosuisse will also help you find the right partner with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).
On this page you will find all current calls for proposals for Swiss companies, research institutions and other organisations within the scope of Innosuisse’s international support offers. You can currently submit project proposals for the calls indicated below.
Funding contributions from Innosuisse for international projects
Funding for project partners in international innovation projects differ depending on the support offer. For Eurostars and the EU thematic partnerships, the European funding rules apply; for all other international innovation projects, the Innosuisse funding rules apply.
Overview

START-UP:
- before market entry: the start-up does not yet have ready-developed products or services on the market
- with scalable product or service
- established not more than 5 years ago (in justified exceptional cases up to 10 years)
- with less than 50 full-time equivalents (at the time of submitting the application);
if the start-up is controlled by another company, the entire group of companies cannot employ more than 249 full-time equivalents
SME:
- fewer than 250 full-time equivalents
LARGE COMPANY:
- more than 250 full-time equivalents
Transnational Eureka Lightweighting Call

For R&D Projects between Austria, Belgium (Flanders & Wallonia), Canada, France, Luxembourg, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Lightweighting Technology is the key enabling technology that provides environmental-friendly solutions, while at the same time adding commercial value, across all industries. In an increasingly connected world, collaboration across borders is essential. Strong partnerships within leading Europe regions and worldwide allow access to customers, technologies and best practices for all stakeholders’ businesses and research institutions.
We invite Swiss companies and universities to establish an international R&D cooperation with partners from the participating countries, to solve challenges in this domain. Areas of interest and topics are listed in detail in the call document.

Driving Urban Transitions Call 2022

The purpose of this Call is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning.
The Call is open to a wide range of scientific disciplines and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches. It intends to support a large range of activities, from research to innovation and implementation. It also asks to engage explicitly stakeholders (companies, public authorities, NGOs…) in the projects and to consider users’ needs in the identification of the project goals.
