International calls for proposals

Innosuisse promotes international innovation projects in the open-topic initiatives EUREKA and Eurostars, in thematic initiatives of the EU partnerships as well as bilateral cooperations between companies and research institutions from strategic partner countries. Innosuisse will also help you find the right partner with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

On this page you will find all current calls for proposals for Swiss companies, research institutions and other organisations within the scope of Innosuisse’s international support offers. You can currently submit project proposals for the calls indicated below.


Funding contributions from Innosuisse for international projects

Funding for project partners in international innovation projects differ depending on the support offer. For Eurostars and the EU thematic partnerships, the European funding rules apply; for all other international innovation projects, the Innosuisse funding rules apply.


Switzerland-Korea Call 2024

Innosuisse-southkorea

Participants from Switzerland and South Korea are invited to submit joint project proposals for research and development of innovative products and applications with a strong market potential in Switzerland and South Korea. The call is open to South Korean and Swiss collaborators and encourages innovation in, but not limited to, the following technologies:

• Biotech; MedTech

Eureka Applied Quantum Call

for R&D Projects in Switzerland, Austria, Belgium (Wallonia), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, and Spain.

This call is for R&D&I projects with emphasis on the areas of:

- Quantum Computing
- Quantum Simulation and Stack levels
- Quantum Communication and Cyber security
- Quantum Sensing & Metrology

Quantum technology includes many layers of technology from the individual modalities of quantum information processing to the algorithms and ultimate applications of quantum computers for a variety of applications. The main objective of the call is to develop quantum technology that outperform or accelerate existing technologies and hence contribute to solving specific problems relevant for industry, science and society. These may include topics listed above but are not limited to these topics only.

We invite Swiss companies and universities to establish international R&D cooperation with partners from the participating countries, to solve challenges in this domain.

This call is open to UK and Swiss collaborators and encourages innovation in, but not limited to, the following technologies:

Eurostars Call 2024

First Eurostars Call in 2024
Eurostars is a funding programme for innovative SME leading international project consortia, collaborating with like-minded partners on market-driven research, development and innovation projects and growing their business.

Eurostars is a funding programme open to SMEs, large companies, research organisations and universities. There are no thematic restrictions.

IraSME Call for transnational projects

To intensify innovation cooperation with the Central Innovation Programme (ZIM) for SMEs in Germany, Innosuisse has decided to participate in the IraSME initiative. IraSME is a network of R&D funding programmes from different countries / regions that share the same goal: Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in their innovation efforts. The network coordination is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and carried out by AiF Projekt GmbH in Berlin.

We invite Swiss companies and universities to establish international R&D cooperation with partners from the participating countries (especially DACH region). There are no thematic restrictions.

Multilateral Eureka foodtech call

For R&D Projects between Switzerland, Sweden, Israel, and Singapore.

This call is for foodtech R&D&I projects with emphasis on alternative proteins, with priority given to plant-based, fermentation-derived and cultivated meat/seafood, or a combination of these techniques (Hybrid products and enabling technologies). Trend forecasts predict that the demand for healthy and sustainable food, including alternative protein, is about to increase.

Multilateral collaborations can serve the cause by intertwining leading expertise and important infrastructure which in turn can broaden perspectives and increase the understanding of societal developments and unfolding market opportunities.

We invite Swiss companies and universities to establish international R&D cooperation with partners from the participating countries, to solve challenges in this domain. Areas of interest and topics are listed in detail in the call document.

Driving Urban Transitions Call 2023

Driving Urban Transition-logo

The purpose of this Call is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning.
The Call is open to a wide range of scientific disciplines and welcomes interdisciplinary approaches. It intends to support a large range of activities, from research to innovation and implementation. It also asks to engage explicitly stakeholders (companies, public authorities, NGOs…) in the projects and to consider users’ needs in the identification of the project goals.
