For young researchers: BRIDGE Proof of Concept

Do you have basic research experience and have an idea for developing your research results into a marketable product? And are you looking for an opportunity to test and refine your idea as part of a project?

Then the BRIDGE Proof of Concept is just what you’re looking for.

BRIDGE Proof of Concept specifically helps young researchers to apply their research results and gain the confidence needed to enter the market. The projects may target innovations of all kinds from all research areas.

For experienced researchers: BRIDGE Discovery

Are you an experienced researcher with a clear and innovative idea? And would you like to develop the scientific foundations to implement it? BRIDGE Discovery can help you.

The BRIDGE Discovery funding opportunity offers contributions to experienced researchers who are currently working on both basic and applied research, to help them realise the innovation potential of their research findings. It allows the researchers to forge ahead with their vision during the critical pre-competitive phase.

Patent research

End of free services with the Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI)

The free patent search services offered to Innosuisse applicants by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (IPI) will be discontinued from 1 May 2024.

However, costs associated with research into intellectual property issues may still be covered as part of the direct project costs chargeable for approved applications from the following funding schemes:

  • Innovation projects with or without partners
  • Innovation projects for start-ups
  • Swiss Accelerator
  • BRIDGE
