Moving forward with Innosuisse
Bern, 03.01.2018 - Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency, assumed the responsibilities of the former Commission for Technology and Innovation (CTI) on 1 January 2018. Under its new name and with a new organisational structure, it will continue to support science-based innovations in Switzerland.
Innosuisse will help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland to further enhance their innovative strength and propensity to pursue innovation. Its support will particularly focus on the challenges of digitalisation, especially with regard to the maintenance and creation of new jobs with added value and the promotion of prosperity in Switzerland.
Innosuisse helps SMEs to gain easy access to the expertise of research institutions. In doing so, it is particularly keen to support projects that boast exceptionally high innovation potential. The aim is to encourage SMEs to take calculated risks and approach challenges in new ways as well as to offer them new prospects by promoting innovative business models and forming international partnerships. Further improvements to the start-up eco systems are also in the pipeline.
