Innosuisse has been cooperating with the South Korean innovation agency since 2013 with the aim of promoting bilateral innovation projects. Innosuisse and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) work together within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed in 2022.
The objective of this agreement is to encourage collaboration between Swiss and South Korean companies and research organisations to promote the exchange of knowledge and expertise, to establish sustainable partnerships and to increase business development opportunities. This enables companies to expand their competitive advantage by developing new products, improving technical processes or devising solutions. These innovations must offer added value for the economy, society or the environment.

Support for Swiss-Korean innovation projects
Innosuisse and KIAT support bilateral cooperation between companies, research institutions and other entities from Switzerland and South Korea in the fields of technology and innovation, as well as bottom-up innovation projects within the framework of Eureka. Swiss-Korean innovation projects are promoted within the framework of annual bilateral calls for projects and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) for partner matchmaking.
The calls for proposals, the evaluation of funding applications and reporting for Swiss-Korean innovation projects are also coordinated by both sides.
Duration of the agreement
This agreement will remain in force until it is terminated by Innosuisse or KIAT. Any termination will not affect the validity or duration of any ongoing projects or activities.
